These series look at men and masturbation, pornography and masturbation and, women and masturbation; how they lose control of their thoughts and bodies.
What’s Most Important to You, Masturbation or Self-Control?
Ladies and gentlemen, are you like me?
After masturbating, resistance is futile. The problem, there is no resistance. I act impulsively in every thing I do. My mind shifts into high gear. Thoughts are racing.
Here’s my experience.
After compulsive masturbation the space (the time line) between stimulus and response shrinks to less than a nanosecond. I act on a whim. A thought hits my brain.
Who is in control here, my body or my mind. My body has a brain of its own. And it usurps the mind.
Unconsciously, self-gratification becomes my only goal. The body goes into seek and find mode. That’s why I had found myself online viewing porn, so readily after masturbation. I had been aware, but caring was another matter.
Masturbating to fantasies of the mind or to pornographic images on the PC caused an intense emotional-physical connection. This connection locked compulsive behaviors in place. Stimulus … immediate response: view porn and then masturbate.
My experience: I noticed, when I compulsively masturbate two or more times within a compressed time frame (few hours or days), I’m impulsive and self-centered in all areas of life. If I masturbated to relieve sexual tension (one time), I felt a difference in attitude and behavior, not as impulsive as compulsive masturbation, but my ego still tried to dominate.
My reasoning process slightly slows down; yet at the same time my thoughts are racing. I really have a hard time thinking through everything I say or do. I usually stick foot in mouth or look where I shouldn’t be looking (breasts, butts, legs…).
After masturbation, 7 days later, the urge to do it again returns. Then, 7 days after that, the feelings comes again. Yet, 7 days after that, the urge returns. The 4th week, feelings to masturbate subsides. The 5th week, the sensations are nearly gone. The 6th week, my mind is clear. Thoughts are calm. Body is relaxed. I feel peaceful.
