I am a green tree.
I wonder if I’ll grow.
I hear voices saying, “Should.”
I want good.
I feel shame.
I am a knotty tree.
I pretend nobility.
I feel lust.
I touch fear.
I miss euphoria.
I cry a thousand losses.
I am a green tree.
I understand power.
I say, “Help.”
I dream growth.
I try again.
I hope.
I am a green tree.
Meditation
Psalm 51: 10 – 12
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
