Turn off the phone and read his story.
He couldn’t stop viewing pornography.
He visited chat rooms; later, in person,
Prostitutes; … disgusted with himself.
Afterwards, why do people feel so disgusted with themselves? Is it possible that they feel shame and guilt?
People seek the precious gift of sexuality; however, they go into dark places where the addiction degrades the virtues of morality and integrity into dishonesty.

(Booth, 2009)
The emotional cost takes a toll on all areas of a person’s life. For example, monetary loss caused by feeding the sex addiction racks up thousands of dollars, if not more. Certainly, there is more.
- Lies; lovers, friends and family
- Thoughts of suicide
- Growing addiction to pornography
- Abusing credit card usage
The following Septet poem was inspired from Proverbs Chapter 7.
By window
I saw a young man
The foolish lacking knowledge
At twilight, walking her direction
The prostitute came for him
Let us enjoy love
Later, shame
Thanks,
Dale
